The NHL draft is upon us and this year's draft class is the best in years. Top prospect Connor McDavid is crushing it with the Erie Otters and is projected to become the next Sidney Crosby. As of now, the Buffalo Sabers are front runners to get McDavid, or are they. The teams so far in the lottery are Buffalo, Arizona, Edmonton, Toronto, and Carolina.
In the past couple of years the second worst team won the lottery. Also there is a chance that what happened last year in the NBA Draft could happen this year in the NHL. In the NBA Cleveland, who had a 1.5% chance of winning the lottery... won! Milwaukee had more than a 20% chance of winning the lottery. In case you are not aware Buffalo currently has about a 20% chance of winning. So Sabres' fans, I would hold off buying McDavid jerseys for just a little bit.
